What We Believe

Core Beliefs

We believe in the historical Baptist principles that a scriptural church is a democracy of believers meeting in some local place, sovereign and autonomous in deciding matters of church policy and affiliation, and composed of persons who profess to have been born again and have been immersed in water upon their confession of faith in our Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.

We, in common with all Missionary Baptists of all ages and nations, believe in the plenary and verbal inspiration and authority of the scriptures; the pre-existence, the incarnation through his virgin birth, and the essential Deity of our Lord Jesus Christ; in his substitutionary and atoning death, providing redemption through his blood, and his bodily resurrection; in his ascension and exaltation into Heaven; His present mediatorial High Priestly office in the gift of and the person and work of the Holy Spirit; and in our Lord’s personal visible return and his ultimate Kingdom and reign.

COMMUNITY

Community is an expression of fellowship and support found in the Bible. It reminds us of our interconnectedness and the importance of nurturing relationships.

OUTREACH

Jesus’ Great Commission instructs His followers to go out into the world, spreading the message of salvation and making disciples of all nations. We are to reach out to people from diverse backgrounds, sharing the Gospel and teaching them to follow Christ Teachings.

REDEMPTION

Living in a fallen world as Christians means we will experience trials and tribulations and will continue to struggle with our own temptations. We are forgiven, but God is not finished with us yet.

EDUCATION

Education is valued as a means of growth, understanding, and applying wisdom in various aspects of life. God encourages us to seek wisdom and knowledge, often portraying them as treasures to be sought after diligently.
